So it begins….sort of….

Just finished the first jam packed day of pre-departure training today. In true EWB style as usual, straight session from 9 AM to 11 PM. I will note that lunch was awesome since I had Ethiopian food for the first time, and was treated to a speech by George Roter, the head of EWB. Aside from that the sessions were as expected, couple fun activities to get closer to the group of 18 heading to Southern Africa and re iterate those foundation skills and knowledge we all gained during our own foundation learning and assignments.

The feeling of leaving still hasn’t really sunk in yet because although I left home, I’m still here in Toronto. I don’t think it will hit me until those plane doors open in Lilongwe blasting that warm moist air at your face, looking around and realizing your actually there. Well see how I feel then….

Until that I bid you all adieu as I continue my prep reading for tomorrows sessions.
